Listen Online Frequently Asked Questions

Thanks for letting us know you were having trouble with our Listen Online streams.

Before going any further, we have a few things to check first. Please check that you have done the following:
  1. Please make sure your computer's speakers are turned on

  2. Make sure you allow pop-ups (or deactivate your pop-up blocker) for our websites in your Internet browser.
    Here are some websites that can assist in deactivating pop up blockers in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox

Resolving Browser and Plug-in issues


Please make sure you have the appropriate streaming plug-ins installed on your computer.

Windows Users:

Please upgrade to the latest version of Windows Media Player.
We recommend re-installing Windows Media Player, even if you already have the latest version.

Mac Users:

Please install the Flip4Mac plug-in to allow Windows Media streaming on your Mac.
As per notes below, for best reliability with Flip4Mac we recommend using Mozilla Firefox rather than Safari.

Firefox 3+

We suggest downloading the Windows Media Plugin for Firefox, as this can fix streaming issues in this browser.

Google Chrome

Safari on Mac

Unfortunately, Flip4Mac has trouble initialising in Safari sometimes. We recommend downloading and installing Mozilla Firefox (www.firefox.com) and attempting to listen to the stream in this browser instead.
