MediaWorks Celebrates Wins at 2025 NZ Radio & Podcast Awards - The Rock Leads the Charge

MediaWorks is still buzzing after a huge night at the 2025 NZ Radio & Podcast Awards, taking home 14 awards across content, marketing, creative, sales, and sound - a testament to the strength and innovation of its audio brands and teams.

Leading the celebrations was The Rock, which picked up an impressive five awards, reinforcing its place as one of Aotearoa’s most powerful and enduring radio brands. The Rock’s wins included:

  • Best Music Feature: "The Rock 2000" was celebrated as the winner, showcasing the station's iconic music programming.

  • Best Content Director/Content Team: Brad King and Jack Honeybone of The Rock were recognized for their exceptional leadership and creative direction.

  • Best Show Producer or Producing Team - Music Show: Ryan Maguire and Mitch Farr, the driving force behind "The Morning Rumble" on The Rock, won for their outstanding production.

  • Best Music Network Team: Rock Drive with Jay & Dunc - The “#1 music Drive" show, featuring Duncan Heyde, Jay Reeve, Tiegan Lilley, and Lee Weir, was named the winner.

  • Best Network Station Promotion: "Hit the Lights" from The Rock where they lit up the Sky Tower with The Rock 2000 countdown and took home the top prize, highlighting innovative listener engagement
