More FM Canterbury and Crusaders Celebrate 30 Years of Loyalty with ‘Teammates Since 1996’ Campaign

More FM Canterbury and Crusaders 30 Years

Ahead of the Crusaders first home game at the new One New Zealand Stadium during DHL Super Rugby Pacific Super Round 2026, More FM Canterbury has launched a new campaign celebrating a major milestone – 30 years of partnership with the Crusaders, marking three decades as one of the club’s longest-standing and most loyal supporters.

Titled Teammates Since 1996, the creative has been developed by Plato and honours three decades of loyalty between the station and one of rugby’s most successful clubs. The campaign sets the tone for a landmark moment in Canterbury sport, aligning the anniversary with the opening of the Crusaders new home ground.

At the heart of the campaign are More FM Breakfast hosts Lana Searle and Simon Barnett, alongside Crusaders players David Havili, Antonio Shalfoon, and Fletcher Newell. Together, they embody the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie that has united the brand and the club across generations of fans.

This partnership with More FM means a lot to us,” says Colin Mansbridge, CEO of the Crusaders.

“Thirty years doesn’t happen by accident. It’s been built on a genuine connection with our community, a shared love for rugby, and a real commitment to Crusaders fans. To celebrate that milestone as we head into Super Round, and as we open the doors to One New Zealand Stadium, makes it even more special.

The campaign rolls out across multiple platforms in Canterbury, celebrating not just the longevity of the relationship, but the people and moments that have made it so special – from unforgettable matches to community initiatives and everything in between.

Emily Hancox, More FM Brand & Canterbury Promotions Lead, says the milestone is a proud moment for the brand. “We absolutely love this partnership and everything it represents,” says Hancox. “More FM Canterbury and the Crusaders share a deep connection with the region, and this campaign is a celebration of that heritage. For 30 years, we’ve stood side by side – through wins, challenges, and unforgettable moments – and we’re incredibly proud to continue that journey together.”

Teammates Since 1996 is more than a campaign – it is a tribute to a partnership built on loyalty, community, and a shared love of the game.

Crusaders and MediaWorks, with More FM as the lead brand, are also proud to have entered a new three-year partnership from the kickoff of the DHL Super Rugby 2026 season.
